Show Open house planned for E.E. Homer's 85th birthday . An open house will be held Oct. 7 from 2 p.m. til 8 p.m. at 475 E. Center, Pleasant Grove in honor of the 85th birthday of Edmund E. Homer. The event is being sponsored by his family. All family and friends of Mr. Homer are invited to attend. They request no gifts, please. Mr. Homer was born Oct. 7, 1897 in Rigby Idaho. He served an LDS Mission to the Central States. While he was in Oil Hill, Kansas he met the girl who he later married on Dec. 25, 1922, Daisy B. Brandon. Edmund has worked as a boiler fireman. He is an active member of the LDS Church, serving as a High Priest in the Pleasant Grove 11th Ward. He is the father of eight children: Benjamin Benjam-in F. Homer, Fountain City, Ind.; Marion D. Homer, Albuquerque, N.M.; Raymon W. Homer, Pleasant Grove; Norman C. Homer, Las Vegas; Richard L. Homer, Tombstone, Ariz.; Gretta M. Cook, LaVerkin; Leland O. Homer, Duchesne; and Kathleen J. Morris, Salt Lake City. He has 43 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. |
