Blankets and other materials should be kept in car trunks to withstand severe weather conditions if needed. They also suggest that now is an excellent time to check furnaces, fireplaces and chimneys to make sure there are no fire hazards in and around homes. Sprays, fertilizers and similar materials should be safely stored where they are not accessible to young children and where they won't be affected by the weather. The ambulance in Pleasant Grove is staffed by well-trained Emergency Medical Technician volunteers, but ' the EMT's, as they are usually called, prefer to meet citizens under non-emergency situations. They invite citizens interested in serving with the association to contact them through the police department or at the city hall. |
