That is the newly redistricted House of Representatives, District 58, which includes Pleasant Grove. I draw your attention to this particular matter because national issues and personalities receive so much attention that State and Local contests are often neglected or overlooked. Since Local issues can affect our lives sometimes many times more directly we need to look closely at these candidates too. As the CUP water issue has held our concern for a long time, we have a man in Highland's recent mayor, Don LeBaron who has been actively involved and is highly interested in resolving this problem. Don put his community's efforts directly behind Pleasant Grove, and worked with our former mayor, Cornell Haynie in the Timpanogos Water Management Agency. Pleasant Grove could benefit from Don LeBaron's influence in the State Legislature level, where part of the PG's long range problem with CUP must be resolved. Being directy involved with the problems of the small city, Don is also very interested in the sales tax redistribution issue, which would result in additinal revenue for Pleasant Grove. As November 2 draws near, I encourage you to carefully consider each candidate and resolve to go to the polls and vote your choice. I am endorsing Don LeBaron for the State House of Representatives. I feel he will represent the interests of the people of Pleasant Grove very well. Thank you.
