Show Youth Council election to fill vacancies Vacancies in the Pleasant Grove Youth City Council will be filled through an election which will be held next Wednesday at Pleasant Grove High School. E. Mark Bezzant, youth council coordinator at the high school, said that four vacancies are to be filled for the councilman seats. Elected last year were Mayor John Ekins and councilmember, Tina Anderson, in addition to four other councilmembers who have graduated or moved from the school. Booths will be set up in the hall for Wednesday elections and students will vote just as in the General Election. Campaigning will take place until election day. The youth city council works hand in hand with the senior cityl council learning about city government, sponsoring activities, and offering service. All high school students are encouraged to vote in this election. 1 |
