Show CO. Newman Will Be Honored on Birthday Sept. 1 2 The family of Clarence O. Newman honored him on his 90th birthday anniversary, anniver-sary, Wednesday September 12 with a He and Mrs. Newman are the parents of seven children, Richard C. (deceased) C.J. Newman, Pleasant Grove, Marval Smith and Betty Hooley of Orem, LeOra Bingham, Vallejo, Calif. Lucile Benich of Redding, Calif., and Janice Farn-sworth, Farn-sworth, of Salinas Calif. They also raised a grandaughter, Connie Marshall of Bellview Wash. They have 27 grandchildren grand-children and 61 greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Newman have resided at their present residence 309 East Center in ; Pleasant Grove for over 60 vears. CO. Newman family dinner at the home of a son, C.J. Newman. Mr. Newman was born in Pleasant Grove Sept. 12, 1889 to John Henry Newman and Annie Jane Adams. He married Cora Cullimore , November26, 1913 in the Salt Lake Temple. With the exception of a few years residence in Lyndell and Salt Lake City, he has lived in Pleasant Grove all of his life. He engaged in farming farm-ing and has been active in Church and civic affairs af-fairs all of his life. He sered as Pleasant Grove City recorder from 1928 to 1934. With the exception of four years service on the City Council, he served as Justice of the Peace in Pleasant Grove from 1934 to 1969. |
