Show 64 YEARS Clarence and Cora Newman celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary at family party recently. C. 0. and Cora Newman Are Honored on 64th Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Clarence O. Newman of 309 East Center Street, Pleasant Grove, observed the 64th anniversary of their wedding Saturday with a family dinner with local members of the family and telephoned and mailed greetings from out of town children and grandchildren. They were married Nov. 26, 1913 in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. Mrs. Cora Newman was born Oct. 14, 1894 to William James and Lizzie Marie Keetch Cullimore in Lindon. Clarence O. Newman was bom Sept. 12, 1889 to John Henry and Annie Jane Adams Newman at Pleasant Grove. Mr. Newman engaged in farming and served in a number of civic and community com-munity positions. He served as city recorder for Pleasant Grove for a number of years and acted as Justice of the Peace for many years. He also served in many other positions for the city, county and state. Both Mr. and Mrs. Newman have been very active in the LDS Church. They have done a great deal of Temple work. They are the parents of Richard C. Newman (deceased), Betty Hooley and Marval Smith of Orem, Clarence J. Newman of Pleasant Grove, LeOra Bingham of Vallejo, Calif., Lucile Benich of Redding, Calif., and Janice Farnworth of Salinas, Calif. They also raised as their own a granddaughter, grand-daughter, Connie Marshall of Tehran, Iran. They have twenty-eight grandchildren and fifty-six great grandchildren. |
