Show Funeral Rites for Virgil V. West Held on Monday Virgil V. West, 64, a former resident of Pleasant Grove, died in the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo on Nov. 4, 1976 of a heart attack. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted on Monday, Nov. 8, at 2 p.m. in the Berg Mortuary Chapel in Orem. Interment was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Virgil V. West was born in Pleasant Grove on June 6, 1912 to Vivian Nathaniel and Mary Jane Adamson West. He married Edythe M. Schenck on Dec. 12, 1948 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a meat cutter by trade, and a member of the LDS Church. He received his education in the Pleasant Grove City Schools and moved in Provo in 1964, later moving to Orem where resided until the time of his death. Survivors include his wife of Orem, one son and one daughter, Robert Hatch of Sacramento, Calif.; Mrs. Donald (Beth) Herbert of Brigham City, Utah. Also surviving are five grandchildren, gran-dchildren, one greatgrandchild; great-grandchild; two brothers and two sisters, Lloyd West, D. Ford West, Mrs. J. LeRoy (Ora) Thorne, all of Pleasant Grove, and Mrs. Burton (Thelma) Frampton of Provo. |
