Reflections of American FAusic Concert Set for American Fork This evening at 8:00 p.m. at the American Fork High School auditorium the Timpanogos Chapter Utah Music Teachers Association will present an outstanding evening of Music. Previous article in the paper spotlighted several of the young artists who will perform per-form in this concert tonight. Today we are highlighting the Fisher Family from Pleasant Grove. This musical family has been singing together at home since the children were small. In more recent years tney have enjoyed singing for various church programs, clubs and civic organizations, weddings and other gatherings. This past summer, sum-mer, they won 1st place in the Community Talent Contest and went on to win 2nd place in the Utah County Fan-Con Fan-Con test. Each member of the group plays the piano and an in-strament. in-strament. They have been in their school bands and have won medals in solo contests in school. Shaun, the eldest is majoring in music education at B.Y.U. and plays in the Symphonic Wind Ensemble. Joel sings the lead role in the current high school production 'Oklahoma', Laurie, Heather, Carrie and Micki have music responsibilities respon-sibilities in the Church. They also continue to get and give pleasure by participating with the family. Tickets may be purchased at the door this evening -Adults $1.00 and students 50 cents. |
