Show I t t III i i Gary Jorgensen Will Speak at To Elysium Club The Elysium Club of Pleasant Grove will have as their guest speaker Dr. Gary Q. Jorgensen on November 18, 1976 at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Carol Harmer, 755 East 100 South, Pleasant Grove. In furtherance of the community's concern with youth disruptive behavior Dr. Jorgensen will speak on "Youth and Alcohol Rehabilitation" and the Club has also invited the Community Com-munity Advisory Council. Dr. Jorgensen is coordinator coor-dinator of the Alcoholism and drug abuse center in the University of Utah's College of Medicine. He graduated from Ogden High School and received his BS degree in 1958 graduating cum Laude from the University of Utah. He received his Master degree in rehabilitation counseling and his Ph.D. degree in counseling psychology from University of Utah. Dr. Jorgensen completed a special training course at a Utah School on Alcohol Studies. He has had extensive experience as a counseling psychologist. He is presently serving as chairman of the Metropolitan Division of the Utah Alcoholism Foundation; President and Board Member of the Utah Chapter of National Rehabilitation Association and is a member of the Board of the Interagency Council on Public Offenders. During the past year the Elysium Club has had the project of improving the Swimming Pool and Library in Pleasant Grove. They have donated money to each of these civic functions in our city. The Elysium Club each year selects a project such as this to make a donation of time or money to, and they are to be commended for this. |
