A letter was read which requested annexation of approximately ap-proximately 40 acres of property into the city. This property is located east of the canal on 1100 North. The council voted to refer this matter to the Planning Commission Com-mission but felt that if the property can be developed the city should annex it. (Continued on Page 2) Because of the elections being held on regular city council night, Nov. 2, the first meeting for November was held the next evening, Wednesday, Nov. 3, which resulted in a week delay in getting the report to the Review. Lee Wimmer, city consulting con-sulting engineer was present at the meeting to discuss several matters of business. He presented the final bill for the construction work on the 1300 East Special Improvement Im-provement District. The council approved payment of this bill subject to acceptance of the construction which is to be finalized this coming Monday. The concern of a property owner on this street dealing with the slope of the road was noted by Councilman Frank Mills. It was decided that Mr. Wimmer would contact this individual and explain the reasons for the slope. Mr. Wimmer submitted a contract agreement for the engineering and architectual work to be done for the development of the central park to be located near the high school. This contract will be reviewed and signed if found to be acceptable. Concerning Con-cerning the size of pipe for the ditch in the Craigwood Subdivision, Mr. Wimmer recommended a minimum of 48 inch concrete pipe with headwalls on each end. He also commented on a section of sidewalk which had been placed too far into the street. Relative to the proposed development fee, Mr. Wimmer Wim-mer illustrated several areas where the money derived from this program could be used. He noted bridges, road improvement, drainage, acquisition and development of parks, etc., would be possible uses for this money. The council further reviewed the proposal and decided to hold a public hearing on the matter on Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. in the city hall. Mayor Cornell Haynie reported that the community progress banquet and awards presentation is being held Friday and encouraged council coun-cil members to attend. The Mayor observed that both the sewer bond proposal and park development bond proposal had passed in Pleasant Grove. He suggested that the close margin of approval for the sewer proposal indicated that the city residents want the council to proceed cautiously Lindon Council (Continued from Poqe I) Meeting Time Deadline Date Dec. 7 Nov. 23 Jan. 4 Dec. 21 A letter was read from the Lindon Hollow Water Users board saying that after a meeting with Kent Prestwich and his engineer that they had agreed to have two sumps sum-ps 4 feet by 12 feet be placed in the roadway to act as drains for the proposed south street of Brown's Homestead.
