Show Funeral Rites for Robert L. Johnson Held Last Saturday Funeral services were held Saturday, October 26, 1974 in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, American Fork, Utah for Robert Lee Johnson 61, of Pleasnt Grove, who died of an illnees Tuesday at the American Ameri-can Fork Hospital. The services were under the direction of the Manila Ward. Speakers were Fred Hoffman Hoff-man and Milton Taylor. Life sketch by Fawn Willis. Musical numbers were a Vo-Solo Vo-Solo by Lorraine Peterson, & a Organ Solo by Dorothy Taylor. Prelude and postlude by Dorothy Doro-thy Taylor. Prayers were offered by Lewis Lew-is Berry, Byron Johnson and Bishop Jesse Rutter. The grave in the American Fork City Cemetery was dedicated dedi-cated by Doug Willis. Casket Bearers, Gary Johnson, John-son, Hap Molema, Merland Davis, LaMar Peacock, Owen Johnson, DeLile Terry, Dale Berry and Brent Johnson. Mr. Johnson was born Sept. 24, 1913 in Provo to John Peter and lone Jones Johnson. On Jan. 21 1933 he married Verdell Lee in American Fork. They were later divorced. Mr. Johnson worked for 18 years as a brakeman for the Denver & Rio Grande Western Roailroad. After receiving a medical discharge, he worked for three years in Reno, Nev. for the Burns Detective Agency Survivors include two sons and three daughters, Robert LeRoy Johnson, East Ely, Nev.; John S. Johnson, Lehi; Mrs. Lewis (Betty) Berry, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. George (Dalene) Phipps, Reno and Mrs. Joe-Dee (Denna) Chistensen, American Fork; nine grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Hal Johnseon, Provo and Mrs. Nettie Net-tie Molema, Lehi. |
