Show IAE Sets Auditions For One Act Plays Iiitermountain Actors Hn--scmblc believes in fostering new talent. An exciting fall project has been planned to further (his goal. "An Evening of One Acts" will enable new directors to explore their creativity and learn the craft. Overseeing tiie endeavor will be IAE's resident director Ron Burnett. Burn-ett. Anne Horsey has chosen to direct "Hello Out There" by William Saroyan, who is famous- for "The Time of Your Life" and numerous short stories. "Hello Out There" deals with a young man, jailed in a small town Cor a crime he insists he did not commit, and his developing develop-ing relationship with a home town wallflower. Roles available avail-able for "Hello Out There" are the young man and the girl' with smaller parts for three more men and one other woman. Leslie Luykcn will direct a play "Overtones" written by Alice Gcrstenberg. It concerns con-cerns two women with a shared past who meet again after many years, each wanting what the other has. Their veiled motives are conveyed by their subconscious subcon-scious personalities portrayed portray-ed by two other actresses. Roles are available for four women. Auditions will be held -Monday and Tuesday, September Sept-ember 21 and 22 from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. in the Memorial Building. Performances will' be in early November. |
