Show Arts Fests Apps Applications are now available avail-able for- the 1980 Park City. Arts Festival. According to Don Gomes, 1980 Festival Director, applications are being be-ing placed at the Kimball Art Center, Park City Chamber of Commerce; the Salt Lake Art Center and many other galleries galler-ies and businesses. In addk lion, applications are being mailed this week to nearly four thousand artists and craftsmen crafts-men across the country. The Park City Arts Festival has established a reputation tor exhibiting quality work. Applicants submit slides along uiih a $15 application fee. A iury'v .of seven experts in the various categories then review ' he work and select exhibitors. riists names are withheld so that the work alone is the criteria for selection. Deadline for submitting applications is 6:00pm Friday, May 23 or postmarked pot later than midnight May 23;. The 1980 Arts Festival committee will select the jury and advise on other elements of the Festival. The group, representing various community commun-ity elements1 include Tika Beard. David Chaplin, David Fernandez. Tiria Lewis, Hank Louis, and Debbie Travis; Gomes added, 'The Festival office and committee welcome suggestions and comments.
