Show Teri Says Thanks Dear Editor: When 700 hundred pumpkins pump-kins descended on the grass at the Park City Ski Resort last Friday, it was no trick. The Jaycee Women had planned the very special Halloween treat for all school children through the sixth grade. Obviously, an event like this doesn't happen in just one day. As Chairman of the Pumpkin Patch, I would like to thank all the people and businesses involved. My co-chairman, co-chairman, Chris Parker, for her cheerful spirit and hard work; Fran Johnson, Vice Chairman of the Jaycee Women, for agreeing to the crazy idea in the first place, and then working so hard to make it a reality; Shay Clegg for organizing the bewitching bewitch-ing characters (mommies in costumes) who greeted all the children; Hank Verrone for the use of his truck; Dennis Nastal for driving it; and all the terrific people who showed up at 8:00am to unload those three tons of pumpkins.
