Show City's Future Is At Stake Trapped between a seemingly unending building boom and the need to preserve our rich historic heritage. Park City appears at times to be frying to balance itself on a tight rope. It is a rapidly expanding resort community blossoming in the shadows of an old mining camp. The issues inherent in this struggle are becoming more and more complex encompassing a wide area of concerns, including development, mass transportation and adequate public services. Criticism directed at the City Council has become more pervasive in the past few weeks while a growing number of Park City residents attend planning commission and other city-related meetings to air their concerns about the manner in which this town is being operated. Park City's General Election Tuesday will give you, the voter, an opportunity to do more than just criticize and complain; it is a time when you can elect three people who you feel can best represent Park City as a whole and lead us through what will certainly prove to be challenging times ahead. , Voting is probably one of the most important ways you can contribute to Park City's future. By not voting, your credibility has been diminished should you decide to criticize the new City Council in the future. Whatever beliefs and opinions you hold dear, now, can be expressed Tuesday at the polling booth by voting for the candidates of your choice. , We urge all registered voters not to sit in the grand stands and let other people elect the new City Council members for , - : them.
