Show P.C. Gains Arts-Cap Recognition The Park City Arts Council is pleased to announce that the Utah Arts Council has selected Park City as an ARTS-CAP community site for 1978-79. What Is AKTS-CAP? Through the ARTS-CAP Program, Pro-gram, our community will be receiving up to 6 professional on-site consultations during the year dealing with needs assessment, assess-ment, resource development, and long and short term planning. Delegates from the Park City Arts Council will be asked to represent our community commun-ity in two state-wide Community Arts Planning Assemblies scheduled sche-duled Jan. 19-20 and July 27-28. These state-wide assemblies are designed to give Community Arts Programmers an opportunity opportun-ity to substantially influence the course of state policy on the arts through an open forum. In compliance with the honor of being selected, the PCAC will hold its first of several Town Meetings on Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 5:30 p.m. in the Kimball Art Center Gallery. This meeting will give local artists, performers, and com-. com-. munity leaders as well as you, the "audience" an opportunity to bring into perspective how the arts can and should relate to community life. The Park City Arts Council has been established in order that this community can apply and receive the state funding it so deserves for the continuation of the Fine Arts in Park City. Please plan to attend this important Town Meeting as an interested and involved member of our growing community. |
