Show -M .... ,,,,,, - ski thefts of the week The Park City Resort reported that business during the holidays is up substantially over the same period last year so it is not surprising that ski thefts are up as well. On Dec. 21, Jeff Rogers of Orange, Calif., lost his skis, bindings and poles valued at $310 from the resort plaza; and on the same day thieves made off with skis, bindings, poles and boots belonging to another out-of-stater. On Dec. 22, $295 worth of ski equipment belonging to Bruce Colton disappeared from the resort plaza as did $380 worth of gear belonging to Fritz Siegenthaler. reefer madness On Dec. 21, a man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance when he was discovered smoking a marijuana reefer in his parked car by local authorities. condo cleaners John Baliban of Snow Country condominium number 1033 reports that his residence was burglarized sometime between Nov. 29 and Dec. 22. Although, police have yet to compile a complete list of the missing items. Chief Crowley indicated that the condominium had been "cleaned out." hits and runs There were two hit and run accidents reported Dec. 21. A 1973 Volkswagon registered to J. J.N. P. Co. was hit while parked at the Amoco station on Park Avenue resulting in $300 damage and a 1975 Dodge Van belonging to Anna Culver of Las Vegas, Nev. received $200 damage when it was struck on Main Street. |
