Show Kimball Art Center Sets Winter Class Registration Children will have quite a selection of classes too. In addition to the Kids 'n Gay classes, Tom Willet is supervising supervis-ing a wheel throwing class for middle school students. Don Gomes will be teaching middle school youngsters guitar and dramatics. Finally, Pat Smith will offer Drawing for Young People designed especially for middle and high school stud-dents. stud-dents. Winter quarter classes will be diversified and interesting for adults and children. The Kimball Art Center invites all students who have considered taking an art class but perhaps feel a bit hesitant, to go ahead and give it a try. After all, if everyone were experts, no one would need to take classes! Following a successful autumn au-tumn quarter, winter class registration is currently underway under-way and will continue through Jan. 14. Classes will begin on Monday, Jan. 15, run for 9 weeks, and end March 17. A new fee policy which began for autumn quarter classes will be continued. This fee policy allows KAC members to receive substantial discounts on classes. Each KAC adult member taking more than one class will be charged according to the following follow-ing fee schedule: $45 for the 1st class, $40 for the 2nd class, and $35 for the 3rd class. The same discount applies to KAC member mem-ber children taking more than one class. Each child will be charged according to the following follow-ing fee schedule: $25 for the 1st class, $22.50 for the 2nd class, and $20 for the 3rd class. Classes for all non-member children will be $30. Some adult classes have been reduced even further, depending on the particular class. ' Winter quarter classes will include figure drawing and painting taught by former KAC Artist-in-Residence Robert Barrett. Bar-rett. And newcomer to Park City, Mike Huffer, will offer print making. Tom Willett is back at the potter's wheel for ceramics. And Holly Rom is teaching Batik, with Kathy Mosely-Kan-vainen instructing Creative Off-.oom Off-.oom Weaving again. Dale Nelson will be teaching a eginning stained glass class. And for those who like guitar, Don Gomes is working with beginners as well as intermediates. intermedi-ates. Marianne Cone will offer Drawing for the Reluctant Adult, as well as two children's classes; one in drawing, the other in wood working. In the Dance Department, Dede Albers is leading beginning begin-ning and intermediate ballet student, with Susan Jarman reaching both Modern Jazz Dance and a class for teachers who want to teach movement and dance to children, plus a children's dance class. Bonnie Calmes will repeat her Voga classes for all yoga enthusiasts. In the darkroom, John Telford will be working with photographers on Creative Darkroom Techniques, and Lisa Palasvirta will teach Beginning BlackWhite Photography to adults. ' Jff'l ..
