' ? r ' f ' .1 : ' - - J : J 'Red Banjo' Continues to Lead Softball League Last Friday evening, Utah Coal & Lumber battled the Eating Establishment for second place in the Park City Softball League. After seven innings of play Utah Coal si Lumber had defeated the challenging "Double E" 20to 5. Members of "Double E" team attributed the loss to an uncanny amount of errors I they made through the game. Sunday, the fourth place - Blacksocks' defeated the "Motherlode" 23 to 12. The "Motherlode" remains in a two-way tie for last place with "The Old Men", who are not sponsored by the "Corn--er Store" as reported lastr week. Also Sunday 'Utah Coal &L Lumber," who remain solid-: ly in second place as league standings go, soundly defeated defeat-ed 'The Old Men", 25-3. I The final gameplayedSun-? day afternoon saw the first place 'Red Banjo" team VI i 'v (wearing uniforms which say.. Wolfe's") defeated third place "Eating Establishment 20-5. On Friday, August 1, "TheJ Motherlode" will play the !' "Old Men" at 6:30. On Sunday, August 3, "The Eating Establishment willi play "Utah Coal & Lumber" at 11:00. Atl2:30, "The Motherlode" Moth-erlode" will play 'The Red Banjo" and at 2 p.m. "The Old Men will play the "Blacksocks." |
