Show Eriksen New Ski Director Beginning this winter Park City's resident pro skier and one of the greatest Olympic champions of all time, Stein E r iksen will ha ve a new pos i-tion i-tion with the Park City Ski Corporation (formerly Greater Park City Co.) This winter rather than offering of-fering his services in a marketing and primarily promotional capacity, Stein will assume the title "director "direc-tor of skiing". Under the new title the former Olympic great will be in charge of the ski school, races and other activities related to skiing. "In general," said Ray Johnson, John-son, president of the Park City Ski Corp., "Stein will make sure that people have fun on the mountain when they ski Park City." i Phil Jones who was more or less director of skiinglast year, will assume the position posi-tion of "Mountain Manager." His duties iwill include the coordination j of the various physical aspects of making sure the mountain is fit to ski. Jones will head up lift maintenance,! slope grooming groom-ing and other mountain operations. op-erations. . Along with his new title, Stein Eriksen will also sit on the Resort's executive committee and play an important im-portant roll- in key policy and decision making. Stein who previously had no say pertaining to resort policy, is anxious to begin his new role and feels his added im-put im-put could be benefic'al to the area as a whole. |
