Show at the Fair the meeting of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers will hold their meeting on Wednesday, September 18, at 7 p.m. at the home of Vera Chit Chat BY Bea The last of July Nan Mc-Polin Mc-Polin and Druscilla Thomas went to Orange County, California to seeDruscilla's granddaughter Leslie Green in the Orange County Theatre Workshop play. She had the lead part in "Sound of Music". Leslie has been in several plays and does right well. She played two parts in "The Apple Tree" and the lead in Charlie Char-lie Brown and this fall she will play the lead in "My Fair Lady." Tree. It will be pot luck and all members are urged to attend. Pearl Street and Irene Carlson were visitors to the Park Monday and both were glad to be here and visit with friends and neighbors, both are looking well. Mr. David Santy, son of Mr. and Mrs. PhilSanty is in the St. Mark' s Hospital where he had back surgery. He will be there for six weeks then confined to home for six months. Mary and Phil are caring for their two children in Salt Lake. David has been suffering much pain but it is said he is improving each day. Leslie is the daughter of Nan Thomas Boison. Although her family has moved to West Los Angeles, Leslie will remain so she can continue in her parts. Leslie visited here for two weeks. ' Druscilla Thomas returned return-ed from California the first week in August to go into the St. Mark's Hospital for surgery. sur-gery. Druscilla has had to have an artificial knee as the result of the arthritis she has suffered with for so many years. Dru will now be at the home of her sister, Nan McPolin and everyone hopes she will be much improved im-proved after this operation. Due to Senior Citizen Day Marion Fletcher, son of Blanche Fletcher, was awarded a plaque and $50 cash for his highly signified achievement, ability for his alert training devotion, team effort, R. 0. K.A. at Tooele Ordinance Depot and has been there for 15 years. This is the sixth such award received re-ceived by Marion. Woody Anderson was a weekend visitor to the Park and looking well. Seems as though he has put on a little weight. Roe and Fowler Law Offices Of-fices are now at the Silver this firm is Robert Adkins from Coalville who is running run-ning on the Democratic ticket tick-et for County Attorney. Robert was in town Labor Day getting acquainted with the people of Park City and he says he is very happy to be here. Greg Winn while playing ball with family on Labor Day fell and cracked his knee cap. He has a cast on and will be handicapped with this for at least six weeks. Stan and Edna Fisher are on vacation and plan to visit with family andfriends inSan Diego. Edna has a brother there. Good vacationing to them. They will be missed by time flies by so quickly they will be home again before be-fore we know it. |
