County Assessor Leo Frazier read a letter from the State Tax Commission giving the opinion of State Attorney General Vernon L. Romney that property assessed asses-sed along county lines could not be traded as has been County Attorney Alan D. Frandsen reported there is still one parcel of land in Chalk Creek, the disposition of which is unresolved, that has been set for a trial settlement and he asked about a p olicy concerning bail bondsman operations in the county. Commissioner Flinders requested the attorney to set up a policy the Commis sion could adopt. Darrell Cook is currently gathering statistics on the Summer Youth Employment program. Ron Davis, Radix, and Rodney Maxfield, Equilease, informed Commissioners on what they had accomplished in writing a program for a possible computor installation installa-tion by the County. September Septem-ber 9 is the deadline for a proposal as price increases are coming. Kent and Brent Jensen proposed to put up a cash bond of $20,000 for Plat C Pine Meadow subdivision. Cost of roads, water lines, grading and other items were set at $41,552. Appraisal figures on the proposed county air strip were presented by Lincoln Jensen. Park City Manager Wayne Mathews and City Councilman Council-man Clements P. Hansen discussed the landfill operation op-eration in Park City with members of the Summit County Commission. The Park City representatives represent-atives presented cost figures of theoperationandtheCom-mission theoperationandtheCom-mission agreed to set up a meeting of the Landfill board for September 10,1974 to adjust fees and consider other matters. Mathews also reported Park City has approved purchase pur-chase of an ambulance and has received a $10,000 grant from the state. He asked if the county could help with the approximate balance of $7,000. TV installation was discussed dis-cussed and it was reported all material needed has arrived ar-rived but the license from the Federal Communications Commission has never come through. It is hoped the equipment can be installed this fall. Gwen La r sen criticized the condition of the Memorial Mem-orial Building in Park City. She mentioned dirt, broken windows and other unsanitary unsan-itary conditions. County Commission Chairman G. Melvin Flinders Flind-ers reported a board was running the building and a new custodian has been hired. He also stated the plaster is to be repaired and the building will also be painted and that a director has also been hired and a total rehabilitation program is now underway. Representatives of the United States Ski Team requested re-quested permission to construct con-struct a training center for the ski team. In explaining the proposed propos-ed lift to the Commission Earl Hanson explained it would be built on Greater Park City Company land in the County. The proposed lift would be for UJ3. Ski Team racers only. Total cost of the project was set at $100,000, with actual construction costs set at $25,000. The proposed Training Center will accommodate 120 people including staff.
