Mr. and Mrs. Eccles with their daughters began their trip tare' months ago, shipping their automobile from Oregon to Southampton. At this port Rowland Eccles, who had been doing missionary work In Northern Scotl'aud for the past two years, Joined Join-ed the party. AJtor their arrival at Southampton, the tourists motored north to Northern North-ern Scotland. spending considerable time In that country. IJy auto they returned southward to London and thence to Southampton, where they crossed the channel to finish tho tour of the Continent. Holland, Belgium and Germany were visited In order, each country Interesting tho travelers greatly. A trip up the Rhine la one of the pleasant pleas-ant memories of the party. Next they went to Cologne, thence to the Passion Play at Oberammergau. In Switzerland, Mr. Eccles 6tates Is the grandest scenery In tho world. Considerable time wns spent In slBht-seelng slBht-seelng In this beautiful country. The natural beauty of this little country surpasses even tho famed Rhine, according ac-cording to our travellers. The whole country appears to be one large summer sum-mer resort, made especially for the slght-seer and the pleasure hunter. In the valleys, between mountains fringed fring-ed perpetually with snow, are gardens gar-dens of grapes that would even tempt a teetotaller to become a resident. Euch peak Is accesslblo by the gaug raliays, some on a forty-eight per cent grade, which carry, one to and away beyond tho snow line.
