Show LARGE MONEY PRIZES FOR AVIATION MEET. New York. Aug. 26. Probably the largest total of money prizes ever distributed dis-tributed at any aviation meet anywhere any-where in the world, will be divided among the entrants In the International Interna-tional meet which Is to be held at Belmont Park In October. In addition addi-tion to the formal cash prizes of ?50,-000. ?50,-000. the aviators are to share largely In the net profits of the meeting. Of tho first S500.000 after paying tho necessary expenses of the meeting, they are to receive 70 per cent. Of all sums beyond this, they are to get forty per cent. The distribution will be made on some graded scale to the winners nnd placement holders In the various events. This arrangi-ruent has met with popular favor with all contestants con-testants and it Is expected that an unusually large number of European contestants will be attracted by the offer. In addition to this bonu offered thp men who fly. there Is a fund approximating ap-proximating $40,000 to cover expenses of the aviators. |
