Show WILL LOCHHEAD LAIDJO REST The funeral of Wm. S. Loehhead. the young husband who was killed while riding in au automobile to the Hot Springs on business for his firm, was held yesterday at 2 p. m., from the Fifth Ward Meeting house, with Bishop II. C. Jacobs presiding. An elaborate musical program was a feature of the service. A quartette composed of Mrs. Tillie Poulter, Mrs. Mary Jones, Orson Griffin and Hag- oen Anuerson, sung "Softly and Tenderly Ten-derly Jesus Is Calling." "f Need Thee Ecry Hour." and "Shall We Meet Beyond the River?" A duet, "O, l.oe Lhino." was rendered by Mrs Mary Jones, and Mrs. Tillie i'oulter. Tin; solo "Some 'I Inie We'll Understand" was sung by Mrs. Mary Farley. The speakers were PiesMent James Wotherspoon. William Moves, David Frame. Ray Townsend uiul Bishop Jacobs. The first of the speakers were personal fi lends of the f 1 1 -from Paisley, Scotland. They referred to the eany associui.uu which they had had with young Loch-head Loch-head and his family, and to their In-Integrity In-Integrity and faithfulness to the L. D. S. church, and comforted the sorrowing sor-rowing wife and family, in Ihe hope of meeting the departed one in the Other Ltuil. The other two speakers, Frame and Townsend, were missionary companions compan-ions of the deceased from Scotland. They tell of the faithful service in the missionary field and of the many friends that he made through hlo genial demeanor, The meeting house was cntiretf two small to accomodate the largo gathering of relatives and friends and many of them were compelled to remain re-main outside the building. The Scottish Cronies attended the funeral In a body. Grand Counselor Harry R. Friichmnn of Boise, with a number of Salt Lake members of the United Commercial Travelers joined the Ogden members; in attending the service. These two representative bodies, preceded the fuueral cortege from the meeting house to the Ogden City cemetery.- where' the body was burled. The floral offerings were numerous aud extremely beautiful. There were many pieces of exceptional workmanship. workman-ship. Ccores of individual bouquets were laid upon the casket by mourning mourn-ing friends, until it was almost hidden beneath Its fragrant covering. The grave was dedicated by Archbishop Arch-bishop MacFarland. |
