Show CLARK DISCUSSES RAILROAD PLANS Former United States Senator from Montana Spends Busy Day Here. Salt Lake, Aug. 0. William A. Clark, president of the Salt Lake J Route and former United States scna- tor from Montana, arrived in Salt Lake early yesterday morning from Butte In his private ear He was accompanied ac-companied by his brother, I Ross Clark, second vice-president of the Salt Iake Route, who arrived from Log Angeles Sunday. They put In a Busy day. Senator Clark spent the forenoon looking after personal and private business affairs. Ho spen: an hour in conference with W. H. Bancroft, Ban-croft, vice president and general manager man-ager of the Oregon Short Line. During the atternoon Mr. Clark was visited by United States Senator Reed Smool and Governor William Spry, and in the afternoon went to the circus cir-cus as the guest of John Rlngllng, of Ringllng Brothers, proprietors of the Barnnm and Bailey circus. Accompanied by Mr. Bancroft, Former For-mer Senator Clark and J. Ross Clark will leave for Is Angelas at 7 o'clock this morning. They will likely make a stop of a few hours in the Mendov Valley wash, where they wiil inspect the topography of tho route along which the new high line w jl be Luilt.
