Show ISSUE CIRCULAR ON W. PJPENII W. J Shotwell of the Western Fa-elflc Fa-elflc ai San" Francisco has issued the first circular covering the opening of the Western Pacific. A copy was received re-ceived Monday. It states officially that the line will be opened from Salt Lake City to San Francisco in August, Au-gust, the exact date to be announced later. Through trains .will be operated oper-ated and the equipment will be electric elec-tric lighted and consist of steel baggage, bag-gage, mall and.chnlr cars, with diner nnd library car. Compartment observation obser-vation Pullman sleepers will be included in-cluded in the equipment, which, the-circular the-circular states, will bo ot the most modern description. The circular asks that the official fcnnouncement be given wide publicity, pub-licity, so it is taken that all arrangements arrange-ments hae been perfected and nothing noth-ing will prevent the road from commencing com-mencing passenger train servico on the date mentioned. The first consignment of cars for passenger service arrived in the Salt Lake yards Saturday, and were sidetracked side-tracked with the eight diners already there. The new cars are of steel construction con-struction and are the latest type of baggage equipment. The cars will be arriving from the cast daily. |
