Show TOOELE 10 WELCOME OLD FOLKS Ifl JUNE Old Folks' day will be celebrated this year on June 22 at Tooele City. This Is the date and the place decided on by the committee having the affair m charge after a letter had been received re-ceived Saturday from R. E. Wells, general gen-eral manager of the Salt Lake route. In which Mr. Wells Bald that (he management man-agement would take pleasure In furnishing fur-nishing free transportation for the old people from Salt Lake City to Tooele and return. In addition to Mr.' Wells' liberal offer E. P. Mathewson, general manager mana-ger of the Tooele Valley railway and the International Smelting and Refining Refin-ing company at Tooele, has offered to carry the old folks over the lines of the Tooele Valley railway from the Salt Lake route station to the smelter, where they will be entertained by Tooele stake. The musical and literary liter-ary programme, as well aa the ban quet, will be furnished by the Tooelo folk. ' In keeping with (he custom In former for-mer years, the lodges of the old folks who are more than 70 years of age will be honored for free transportation on the street cars to and from the depot on June 22. |
