The piece waj i better staged and more ably present-: present-: ed by that capable company than last i week's offering. "The Spoilers" has a ihread of heart interest with a sprinkling sprink-ling of love thnt takes with an audience. aud-ience. One of the best characterizations seen with the company and in the production pro-duction was the work of Elmer Booth iu th role of Wilton Struve. His excellent work in the role of a worthless villain who bartered in women's wo-men's honor, won much applause. He read his lines In such a manner as to show that the character hail been given a great amount of careful stud, Stanley .lonasson as BUI Dexter Dex-ter made the typical rough miner who would fight for what Is right. Seldy Roach hr.s been seen In many roles by the theater-goer6 of Ogden, but never has he so acceptably filled a role as he did that of Slap Jack, the miner, who wanted to lake the law in his own hands. Vern Layton almost succeeded suc-ceeded In bringing forth hisses from the Interested audience, his interpretation interpre-tation of the designing villain being so ably given. Noel Travers In the role of Roy Gletuter appeared to better advantage than in a former role. r, po'-sesscs a stage presence that lakes well wdth an audience Irene Outtrlm as Helen Chester appears ap-pears at her best. She gives an excellent ex-cellent portrayal of a difficult role and a rote to the occasion of giving great .urength In the climaxes. She I clever and read her lines well and she scored n distinctive hiL Blanche Bryant's Interpretation of the role of Cherry Malotter was good. In the third act she was particularly clever. John Thorn, Busch, Erlckson and Fox offered strong support. The production was staged under the direction of William S. Djnovan, who. in addition to managing tho dt'-tge, gave a strong portrayal of the redo of Arthur Stillman, the weak Judge, who played Into the hands of tho stronger men. "The Spoilers" runs th" rest of the week with matinees on Wednesday and Saturday.
