Show ATTRACTED TO OGDEN. The three-story building David Maule is erecting on lower Twenty-fifth street is one of the best proofs of the substantial growth of this city, as Mr. Maule, prior to coming to a decision to fcuild in Ogden, toured the Northwest with a view to selecting the most promising location for an investment. He is a business man of long experience in Butte, Montana, and other cities and he has a business man's conservatism and long-headedness which counts for much in steering clear of things that glittler but are not gold. When Mr. Maule returned to Ogden after his journey of investigation, in-vestigation, he gave it as his opinion that in no place the size ana importance of this city were property values so low. He attributed this to the absence of anything approaching boom spirit. With ! those facts before him, he said there was nothing for him to do but decide in favor of Ogden. ' Mr. Maule is not a stranger to Ogden. With his brother, he in vested in this city many years ago and today the Maule estate holds some very valuable interests in the business and residential district. But the important feature of this latest investment is that it came about after other cities had been visited as prospective investment points. . To outsiders, who carefully weigh Ogden 's advantages as a place for a safe inrcstmcnt, the fact that there is no inflation appeals to them, as it has to Mr. Maule, and eventually this strong point in Ogden 's favor will draw to this community much outside money. |
