BIG UNIONS ENDORSE GLERKJIQVEHEIiT The local retail clerks have secured much valuable support iu their campaign cam-paign for an early closing of Ogden stores on Saturday nights, a number of labor organizations and societies having held special meetings for the purpose of discussing the merits of the movement. Amonc those who have voled to extend ex-tend their organized support to tho clerks' cuuso are the Butchers' union, the Carpenters' union, the Machinists' union, Typographical union and the Dix-Logan Post No. 3. G. A. R. A number of other organizations will hold special meetings this week to discuss the matter, and It is expected ex-pected that additional support will be gained through that medium. A further boost for the movement, is the posting of p'acards in tbe show-windows show-windows of the principal stores of tho city r. -nounclng the fact that these places will be closed at 7 o'clock Saturday Sat-urday evenings.
