Show CRAZY MAIM SS ; ; : LANDED IN JAIL ! Persisted in Disrobing in Lester Park Saturday Evening and This Morning He Entered a Home on Twenty-first Street and i Took Possession of the Bath Tub. In Lester park. Saturday evening, and unknown fellow frightened the ladies by unbecoming conduct: He acted queerly and partically disrobed himself. The matter wns reported to the jwllce station, and officers were detailed on tho case, but when they arrived at the park the mysterious man had gone to parts unknown, and no trace of him was found that night The ladles who saw the man stated that he must be Insane, for he acted lewd and became really vulgar without with-out any outward acta of violence. Ho walked about the wark making pretension pre-tension that he wns going to disrobe, but only partially carried out his threats. At any early hour this morning the officers were called to a residence on Twenty-first street lo look after a fellow fel-low who persisted In taking a hath In the family tub. The fellow entered the residence -unobserved and had found his way to the bath room before he was noticed. He hegan removing his clothing, stating as he did so. that he thought he had better bathe. Members Mem-bers of the family remonstrated with him, lint that did not have any ofToct 1 upon Mm, as he seemed determined to carry out his desires and continue,! to dlsrobo. An alarm was sent to tho police station and the patrol wagon, with Officer purke and Marliu, was dispatched to the place. In the meantime a neighbor had been summoned to aid the family in the protection of the home, and, had not the officers arrived in an opportune oppor-tune time, there would have been enacted en-acted an extraordinary scene, for the neighbor carried a large revolver that was well loaded, and he had made up his mind to use it If the fellow did not get out of the house. When the rtranger was arrested he made no apologies for his conduct and seemed to be possessed of the Idea that he I was a privileged character and should ' bo permitted to enter anybody's house and take a bath, or do anything else : he might desire. When he arrived at the police station he gave Ms name aa Charles L. Moore, but would give no information as to where he came from or his occupation. No charge was preferred against him, the entry being "demented." I It Is thought that he Is the man who paraded In Lester park Saturday night. |
