Show IDAHO FOREST LAND WITHDRAW! The president has sltned a proclamation procla-mation eliminating approximately 22,-.32r, 22,-.32r, acre of land from the Pocatello national forest, Idaho. Those eliminations elimina-tions are the result of very careful examinations made by the United States department of asrleultuie during dur-ing the summer of 19-VJ. The areas excluded from the forests are mainly agricultural and K'a.ing In character, , and hove practically no value for for est purposes or for watershed protec- ; tion. j Slightly over half of this eliminated area la taken from the Port Neuf dl-I dl-I vision. The examination disclosed that these areas are more valuable for grazing and dry farming than for national forest purposes. pur-poses. This area Is chiefly valuable for agriculture and hits practically prac-tically no forest cover.
