Show LAST CHIME FOR CORPORATIONS Salt Lake. Feb. 23. Tomorrow will be the last day for all corporations of the 6tate to file returns of the annual net Incomes with the local collector of Internal revenue. The statistics will be used by the government In making assessments on tho corporations corpora-tions under the new corporation tax law. The offices in the federal building were crowded this morning with officers offi-cers of companies filing the ptpers j and getting Information on the filing j of the proper papers. The changes are that business hours will have to I be extended until late tonight. All corporations realize that they are dealing with Uncle Sam, and that promptness Is a necessity. According to E. H. Calllster, collector col-lector of Internal revenue, several thousand companies have already filed returns and hundreds more will od so before tomorrow nlgbt. In case they do not it Is very probable that tho officers will find complaints in the federal court against tbem. Mr. Calllster stated this morning that his orders from Washington are,' to go ahead and prosecute all eorpor-' at ions falling to have the papers Died by tomorrow night. "I will take the matter up with the district attorney here," said Mr. Calllster, Cal-llster, "and the cases will be heard by Judge John R. Marshall In the United States district court of Utah." George Walker, the elevator operator in the building, reported the morning to be the busiest In all his experience In tbe service.
