Show GRABBED PURSE AND LANDED IN JAIL "Tobey" Summers and Henry Larson Lar-son went out last night for a little social recreation, "Tobey" being j "broke" and Larsen having only about l $2 with which to make the "rounds. I According to related circumstan-' circumstan-' ces in the case. Henry had no disposl-! disposl-! tion to "spring himself" for the entire amount. The report of Officer Vance is that two men made their way down Twenty-fifth street, into Electric alley and back to the main thoroughfare, where Henry again "set 'em up." "Tobey" wanted more, but Henry demurred to the proposition of furnishing the money for the purchase of the drinks, whereupon "Tobey" being somewhat exasperated over the demurrer on tho part' of his friend, grabbed the purse of Mr. Larsen, which contained the sum of $1.75 and ran away. Officer Vance was advised of the occurrence and he started out ln search of "Tobey." His efforts wero soon rewarded aud the latter with Mr. Larsen following close behind, was taken to the police station. A search of the former disclosed the $1.75. but the purse had been throw-n away. This however, was soon picked up along the trail of tho three men from the point where "Tobey" was arrested and the city bastile. Summers is now in the city jail and will be called upon this morning to answer an-swer the chargo of petit larceny berore the judge of the municipal court. In the meantime Larsen will be kept under un-der surveillance as a witness against "Tobey." |
