Show ANOTHER BAD CHECK GIVEN TO SHERIFF One more of the shower of alleged ! forged and worthless checks which were broadcast throughout Ogden and I other Utah cities by James Nell, 24. I who Is now In the county Jail, was jbrought to the sheriff's office this morning and added to the rapidly growing pile of worthless paper This check was passed upon the Intermoiin-taln Intermoiin-taln Produce company and is for $1 Nell Is in the county jail, unable to jfurnish $1600 bail to secure his liberty Late yesterday he communicated with !a brother who resides at Farmington. but so far none of his relatives has visited him here. Nell was questioned again last evening eve-ning by sheriff Kich'ard Plncdck and Deputy O. H. Mohlman and admitted that there are still many checks out I Which ho cashed at various business houses. lie asserted that he has been working the game for months and spent the money almost as fast as he secured it. He said that ho liked to play pool very much and spent much of his time and money on the gam--when he worked, his check game In the various towns and cities |
