'As a contribution to education, an appropriation ap-propriation of J23,00tt a year for a period of five years to the Santa Barbara Bar-bara Community Art association has been made by the Carnegie corporation, corpora-tion, New York, it was announeed Friday. Fri-day. Bernard Hoffman, president of the association, said the association would use the money in an effort to advance music, the drama and allied I arts. The association produces ui play once a month with non-profes- slonal players, giveB a concert by a symphony orchestra each fortnight nd conducts a school at which the I arts are taught.
