McKay and Llewellyn McKay Guests at Fourth Ward Party Several hundred membirs of the Fourth ward gathered In the- amusement amuse-ment hall Monday nipht, to do honor to two of their member! who will leave Ogden Wednesday for Europe where they will serve as missionaries for two or three years The honorol g-uests were Apostle David 0 McKay, who will preside over the European 3f mission, and his son. Llewellyn M -Kay. who win go to the Bwiu-German mission . Bishop Hyrum T.un l presided, the affair Including B program, dance and refreshments In a brief addraM Apostle Mr Kay expressed pprertatlon for what the ward had done for him He said he felt the loss he sustained In going away and that his Chlldr n would miss their playmates He told how the evil one tempts people to commit sin but he falls to keep his , promises. God. he said, always richly rewards those who sere Him. It would be the aim of himself and family fam-ily to dls harge their duties while on their mission so that when they r i!;, turn they may be a credit to the ward and the church. Mrs. McKay and Llewellyn McKay, in brief talks, gave expression for i heir appreciation of the demonstri-j tton of love from their fellow ward j memhers Bishop Lund told how the ward had felt honored at having rj one of Its members, a high official of the church and wished the McKay" family, in behalf of the members of the ward, a successful and prosperous mission.
