Show FILM BECKER IN SPORT STUNTS Ogden Sportsmen's Motion Pictures to Be Shown Over Country A distinguished assembly Thursday afternoon witnessed a novel rlflo shooting exhibition by G. L Becker, I glcn business man, in a lot adjoining adjoin-ing the Becker Brewing company plant. The shooting was for tho pur pose of completing a motion picture film which is being compiled oy Geo. I W. Goshen, local photographer, and ! which will be exhibited throughout the United States Among tho guests who were lnited to witness the remarkable display of marksmanship were John M Browning, Brown-ing, of ogden, tamous firearms Inventor; In-ventor; J. E. Browning, also associated associ-ated with John Browning In the Invention In-vention of guns; Fred W. Klescl. now of Sacramento. Cal.; E. A. Slcbel of Chicago, and W. H. Shearman of Ogden Og-den Mr. Browning was delighted with tho rifle work and between acts broke a glass ball with a rifle when thrown In the air. The exhibition of Mr. Becker included in-cluded tho playing of a melody upon a chime- target which was mado by Mr. Browning. A rlflo which on-i on-i .'!ned a special device to carry more, than tho ordinary load of bullets, which was also made by Mr Browning, Brown-ing, was used In tho chime target! work The film, which includes shooting Of wild game by Mr Becker and tho fancy hhootlng stunts, will probably bo shown before many sportsmen's j associations of the country. Large fans have been Installed In I a mine in Brazil, a mile and a half below the surface, to cool off the miners who work at a temperature of J 118 degrees Fahrenheit. |
