Upon returning to the No. 3 station sta-tion the firemen began backing the truck Into the station and the child. who was on the opposite side of tho street, began running acroin toward tho fire station to watch the operation opera-tion as Williams came along driving north on Washington avenue. Williams, in his efforts to avoid striking the youngster, turned his car land drove the front wheels up over the curbing of the street car tracks, but couldn't avoid striking tho child. |
