Show MAKES INSPECTION OF ROADS IN IDAKO BOISE, Idaho July 12 Having Just returned trom a two weeks' InspCi li n trip of the road throughout Idaho and part of Oregon and Washington. W. J. Hall, state commlsstonei of bublii Works of Idaho made a statement that highways in the northwest are in cx-COlli cx-COlli nt condition for travel Many improvements im-provements and repairs arc being made ,ii keep up the roads, (in his t iur, Mi Hall visited Seattle, and had occasion to inspect the mads through Washington and Oregon en route. Oregon's road work was praised 6y Commissioner Hall. Travel has been heavy over the bine mountains, particularly par-ticularly from La Orande to Pendleton, Pendle-ton, but there-the t oad is vrv rough Hall found the roads in r;ood shape- The log of Commissioner Hall on the highway west is as follows: Boise to Olds' Ferry, good; Olds' Ferry to Huntington, good and now being graveled; grav-eled; Hunting to Nelson, new grades being resurfaced; Nelson to Maker, grading work is being done and uncomfortable un-comfortable to travel, Haker to La Grande, A.- condition. La Grande to Camtle. a fine new grade, now being resurfaced; Headman, to be grided, good mountain grade; Pendleton to Seattle Se-attle via Walla W-illa, all good road. |
