Show JOHNSON WINS j MDHTJUIA VOTE; Additional Returns Show He' Received More Votes Than ! All Four Oppoents j BUTTE, Mont., April 24. Additional but incomplete returns today from various va-rious parts of the state indlcato that Senator Hiram Johnson In yesterday's election received more votes than were cast for all 61 his four opponents. Of the other candidates Major General Gen-eral Leonard Wood leads with Herbert C. Hoover, Governor Lowden of Illinois, Illi-nois, and Senator Warren G. Harding following in the order named. I The complete vote of Silver Bow! county, the largest in the state and in which Butto is located, gave Johnson ' 3822 votes: Wood 773: Hoover 433; I.owden 419; Harding 73 I The vote throughout the state was' light and returns so far meager but virtually every precinct added tQ Johnson's John-son's lead. No effort has been madej to compile the Democratic vote as the Democrats, had no candidate for the presidential nomination and many Vot-erb Vot-erb did not write in the names of their favorites. President Wilson appears to lead from the returns received. Governor Samuel V. Stewart, candidate candi-date for the Democratic nomination for : , vice president, received the vote of his p.'.rty. |
