When a large coterie of workers were refused work at the HIenecke Construction company, they laid aside union insignia in-signia and agreed to the "American plan" of employment, according to reports given out yesterday. All workers work-ers were taken back, it is stated. The striko has spread to all lines of employment and it was estimated that 225 men were walking the streets yesterday after having walked of:' their jobs. Both sides claim advantages in tho strike. When material delivered by the Cro-zier Cro-zier Transfer company arrived at contract con-tract work under tho charge of W. G. Reed. The Crozier company was one of the first to advocate the "open shop" principal and union men working work-ing for Read refused to accept the material until a temporary compromise compro-mise had been ejected. |
