Show !TI RIGHT KIND OF I AUTD ACCESSORIES : MOT SO HMEHOUS In a recent visit to Ogden, James H. Mcintosh' of the 'Stewart Warner Speedometer company gave the auto situation th'c "once over." especially interesting himself in accsscry shops. He paid a high compliment to the Chcesman Automobile company's accessory ac-cessory department, stating that It was among the best, equipped in the country. Sir. SIcIntosh also had something to say about accessories In .general, enforcing the idea that quality qual-ity rather than quantity should be the rule with all auto drivers and dealers, lie said: "The Chcesman Automobile company com-pany possesses one of the best stocked and largest accessories stores west of Denver and east of the coast. I think the biggest reason for this is the f:ict that every accessory is high class in every respect. 1 failed to find an article ar-ticle on their shelves that is not standard stan-dard and has not been thoroughly .tested. "Ever since the beginning of the 'aitomoblle industry, there have been thrust upon the auto owner many varieties of so-called accessories. Everything imaginable has been exploited ex-ploited to-the motorist with wonderful wonder-ful claims of comfort-giving qualities. If the owner installed all of these on his machine it would be so encumbered encum-bered that goodness knows where the , passengers would sit. i "But thanks to the work of some dependable manufacturers who relaxed relax-ed the need for standardizing accessories, acces-sories, Ibe motorist can now obtain jat the better stores articles that are as high class as the best automobiles j themselvps. There is no need to re-hmind re-hmind Ihe experienced autolst that It rpays to use the best, whether it bo I tires, repairing service or accessories, i Cheap thlnps are always the most ex-I ex-I pensive, and many auto owners have 'paid dearly for the supposed economy of buying Inferior articles at a few cents les-? than standard quality roods would cost. It is very gratifying, therefore, to find that at the Chees-' Chees-' man store everything is of high quality qual-ity standard make. j "The Cheesman company is not; only well eouinped to render exceptional excep-tional service along the lines of ;ic-; ;ic-; cessories. but they also handle highest high-est crade lubricating oils, according, to Sir. Cheesman, manager of the1 company. - "At this season of the year," said 1 Mr. Cheesman. "when people are us-1 ing their machines more and more every day. the problem of lubrlca-, tioh, is not the least important. After lying in storage all winter the motors need the best of lubricants to revive their flexibility and smoothness.- The , old oil should be drained out of the crankcase. which should then be thoroughly thor-oughly washed out with kerosene before be-fore putting in the -supply of new motor oil. " "And. to get the best results, both from an .efficiency and economical j standpoint, the motorist should ascertain ascer-tain which oil Is the best for his particular par-ticular automobile, and then always use that oil. It is bad policy to allow any oil to be put into the crankcase ; at hie roadside stations. There's no, telling what sort of lubricant is blng ' used in that case. The best plan is to keep a supply at your own garage, and follow a definite oiling system. on |
