R , will entertain members and their frlt-nds at a card party Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon. April 16. at the home of Mrs. George S. Kay, 317 Twenty-third street. All arc invited to be present at 2:30 o'clock. MEETING TOMORROW. The Red Cross auxiliary of Queen Esther Chapter nrder of the Eastern Star will meet tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Red Cross Auxiliary for sewing. PARENTS-TEACHERS. The Mound Eort Parent-Teachers' association met at the Assembly hall Thursday evening, June 10, when one of the best programs of the year was given. It consisted of two well ren-dered ren-dered violin solos by Miss Dora Smith, accompanied by Mrs. Whittemore; a talk on the school bond questlton bv Superintendent H C. Johnson, followed fol-lowed by questions and discussion; a paper on "The Reading Habit" by Miss Cupp of the hich school faculty. It Is to be regretted that eeryone did not hear this paper for it brought home a realization of the true worth of reading read-ing and the well-selected books. Announcements An-nouncements were made concerning the home bureau and the child welfare ' w ork. After the program the meeting adjourned ad-journed to the library room. This library li-brary is a branch of the Carnegie library, li-brary, which has Just been established in Room 21 of the North Junior high school building. On certain evenings of the week it will be open to the public pub-lic for reading and drawing of books Rooks are drawn from this library uu der the same regulations as from the main library. It is hoped thct everyone every-one will make use of this new reading room 500 CLUB. Mrs Mary Zeller will entertain the "500" club Saturdav afternoon at her home, 564 Twent fifth street.
