De-partment. j Information and Instructions II j to voters for the I SPECIAL BOND I ELECTION I 1 To Be Held April 16, 1919 11 I The purposes and amounts for which bonds are to be issued, in the event of the tax pay- f. ers voting favorably thereon, are as follows: m 1 $101,109.00 for jayiiiG: and redeeming existing and outstanding legal and valid warrants and interest thereon, said warrants W. and interest thereon bein.ee the ufdebtedness unpaid and outstanding against the General Fund of Ogden City; E Li $250,000.00 for the erection and furnishing of the City's portion of a joint City and County Building to be erected in Ogden m- Jity for housing and aCconiihpdking the offices, records and officials of Ogden City; m 3 $12,00000. for the' construction and furnishing of a Comfort Station; j j I $2,128.00 for the City's porlion of the construction of sidewalks; Jr. 5 $'.'..000.00 for the City's portion of t-urbing, guttering and grading streets: 6 $95,000.00 for the City's portion of street paving; j k 7 $12,000.00 for the construction of storm sewers; 1 j 8 $19,763.00 for extending, by purchase of additional land, improving, beautifying, parking, grading and constructing dam, pond and comfort station at Lorin Farr Park; I 9 $5,000.00 for the construction of buildings, swimming pool, and for parking and improving Ogden City's playground near the Y Washington School: i l6 325,000.00 for the City's portion of the construction of Sanitary sewers; j. Each of the above and foregoing questions should be voted upon separately I For your guidance in preparing ballots for the Special Bond I I I Election to be held April 16, 1919; please be governed I I by the following instructions: I I 1 How to Obtain Ballots for Voting: Present yourself before the Judges in your district and announce your name. If it ia found upon the official register you will be given a ballot. L ; I 2 How to Prepare the ballots for deposit in the Ballot Box: After receiving the ballot retire to the booth and read each question I carefully. To vote for bonds in each instance place a cross in the appropriate square following the word "YES " To vote against B J such bonds place a cross in the square after the, word "NO." After making same, carefully fold ballot in such manner so as not to I disclose the wray in which you voted. Return to the election judges and in their presence deposit same in the ballot box. 3 How to Obtain a new Ballot in the place of one Spoiled by accident or mistake: In ease you spoil your ballot by accident or mistake return it to the Judges who will mark thereon in your presence, tk Spoiled" and a new ballot will be given you. Return to the booth and prepare ballot according to instructions. I 4 How to Obtain Assistance in Marking Ballots: If you do not understand clearly how to pr pare ballot, after reading these instructions, you may call for two of the judges who will assist you in preparing your ballot. I 5 Not to Vote a Spoiled or Defaced Ballot: Spoiled or defaced ballots should not be deposited in the ballot box, but returned I to the judges who will mark "Spoiled" thereon, and a new one will be given you in lieu thereof. , I 6 That Identification Marks or Otherwise Spoiling or Defacing a Ballot will render it Invalid: DO NOT WRITE YOUR I NAME OR MAKE ANY OTHER MARK OF IDENTIFICATION UPON THE BALLOT AS SUCH NAME OR IDENTIFI- t CATION MARK WILL RENDER IT INVALID.
