Show Outlines Work on Convention Flans . That the preparation work for the American Legion convention, which will be held In Ogden, May 31, June 1 and 2, is progressing rapidly, is made eviderit in a report sent this morning by J. Rajv.Ward. chairman of the convention committee to L. J. Holther, commander of the Herman Baker post. N. 9. The report outlines all 'work which has bene done and plans for luture activities as follows: Headquarters for state officers at University club. Place of registration, University club. Place of meeting for convention, Ogden High school. The committee on decoration which Is composed of Norman Sims and Owen Sherwood, is busy on the decoration decor-ation of the city during the convention. conven-tion. Publicity -K-ork is being handled by Floyd Timmerman. This work is well under way. The Billeting committee Jos. Evans and Jj. T. Dee, is busv making arrangements ar-rangements with all hotels and will be able to take care of all delegates, any overflow will be cared for In private pri-vate homes. Tho Post Memorial committee is working out arrangements for Memorial Mem-orial services in conjunction with the G. A. K Spanish American War Vols., and the Boy Scouts. Kenneth Tripp, chairman of the Transportation committee is endeavoring endeavor-ing to make arrangements for reduced fares on all railroads and is a yet unable to make a complete report. |
