The scene of tho picture Is England and the continent, the hero being Nigel Stanyon, destined by his family for the church, but caught in the toils of a woman adventurer, while traveling abroad. His money spent, the woman, Belle, deserts him and Nigel Ni-gel is reduced ,to serving as a waiter in a hotel when he encounters his lriend, Brian, son of Sir Mostyn Hol-llngsworth. Hol-llngsworth. He is persuaded by the latter to return to England and be come manager or the Hollingsworth estate. There. Nigel falls- in love with a gentle girl named Monica, but forbears for-bears to speak his love because of his former affair. His position is complicated compli-cated when Brian comes back with Belle as his wife. Belle forthwith shows her true colors col-ors when it is announced that the Hollingsworth moifey has been lost by attempting to run away with a rich scapegoat. Tho courage and quick wit of Nigel finally clears up the situation. situa-tion.
