A chain of circumstantial cvi-dencc cvi-dencc stretching: nearly across the city from the northern to the southern limits, tho robbery of a grocery store, tho theft of an au-tomobllo au-tomobllo and two bicycles, leads officers to believe that Albert Jensen, ago 17, and Earl Horton, 1C years old, who escaped from the state industrial school last night, had something to do with thi3 series of events which oc-cured oc-cured Inst evening. Ray Boulton of Five Points re-ported re-ported his Ford car stolen shortly after tho boys were missing, the police report. Shortly after the automobile thoft tho C. "V. Ward grocery store at Eighth street and Washington avenue was entered and provisions, candy, milk, cheese and canned delicacies were taken, tho value of the missing articles boing in. the neighborhood HL of $100. Hf The Boulton Ford was found in tho south part of Ogdon, without gas, and containing greater part of articles missing from tho store. Further provisions, two boxes Hj of chocolates, a loaf of bread and a bottle of milk was found on tho lawn of Mrs. H. O. Williams, 210 Thirtieth street and two bicycles belonging to Mrs. William's sons, wero missing. Hl It Is the belief of the polico that tho boys took the automo- H' bile, entered the store and rode I tho machine until the gas supply , i was exhausted. They then car-I car-I fled what provisions they thought ' would be necessary and located i the bicycles, according to the police po-lice theory. The boys then departed de-parted for parts unknown, no further fur-ther traces of them having been found. I nn |
