Show StreS?eeo Caravan From Salt Lake to Idaho Points Will Stop in Ogden on Monday Next Monday will be a gala clay in Ogden for automobile dealers of the city. During the afternoon twenty-five heavily loaded motor trucks, containing contain-ing more than firty Utah automobile distributors and their salesmen, will, reach Ogden on their tour from Salt; Lnko- to Boise, Idaho, in connection with the good roads and the "ship by truck" movement which is being celebrated cele-brated throughout the United States. Here Over Night. Practically all the prominent Salt Lake dealers, in addition to dealers who occupy territories south of Salt Lake, will bo members of the transport. trans-port. They will remain in Ogden over Monday night and will leave early Tuesday morning for Logan, the next stop during the trip. Plans are being made by a local committee which was appointed yesterday yes-terday to form a welcoming party to meet the transport train "Jit the River dalo bridge and escort them into the city. A band has been procured tor tho occasion and a parade will follow fol-low the arrival in Ogden. Carry Loads. Every truck included in tho train will carry a capacity load of com-' modities which will bo distributed at various points throughout Idaho to automobile au-tomobile dealers and merchants. Many of the trucks will carry parts to their Idaho dealers , P. J. Speakers will accompany tho truck train and will address meetings during dur-ing the tour in regard to the good roads and tho ship by truck movement move-ment A meeting will be held here, but the program has not yet been arranged, it was announced today by Mr. McConnell. |
